Cranial Extraction = Memoricide (they do exactly the same)
Vines of Vastwood = Withstand Death (G: target creature is indestructible until end of turn)

My first try on a T2 rock recently was only BG, but, with the roataion i would lose maelstrom pulse that was very important, giving me very strong removal, so, after thinking a lot, i decided to include white for the mass removal that always characterized rock ("all is dust" was tested aswell... but... to expensive to cast), also, baneslayer is just that good... the amount og creature is decent so i can wipe the table (if possible with a withstand death on my baneslayer) and recur my vengevine fast, any comments, sugestions or criticism is welcome.

Best regards

PS: 2 baloth in sideboard cause i still don't know what to put -.- aswell... i would like to include some duress main board, just don't know what to take out

Play Duress in the sideboard vs. control.

It's really solid, but I might suggest Garruk x1-3. After Day of Judgement, you get to put in 3/3 beasts while your opponent doesn't have anything. Solid tech.

I decided to try some changes then:

-3 Memoricide
-2 Ob Nixilis

+3 Garruk
+2 Sorin Markov (killer card in endgame and stalemates)

Sideboard:
-4 Malakir Bloodwitch (since paths an rings gonna rotate out, and to deal with baneslayers i have doom blades and days of judg)
-2 Baloth

+3 Memoricide
+3 Duress
Making the deck stronger against control, although i was thinking in trying to find something to deal with artifacts... i considered 4 Ratchet bombs + Naturalize/Acidic Slime

While i agree that the Sorins look really good in this kind of deck, i think that the card is a little high on the Curve. If your going to win, you'll already have the presence, if not your going to lose.

I would drop those for something a long the lines of Vampire Nighthawk. 2/3 flier with life gain and death touch? Pretty good. I saw you had it in your other Rock deck but not in here. He blocks like a champ, is a 4 point swing, and has evasion himself. Its a solid card, i would squeeze it in somewhere here, deffinately in the place of the Russian....i mean Sorin.

yes, i started looking better, and although the 6cc cost of sorin didn't worry me so much, the BBB in it's cost did... the vampire nighthawks i just love them, i really think it's one of the best creatures around for it's cost, flys, and all that, just doesn't make coffee, but i found it really hard to squeeze 4 inside >.< other card i saw it really fits the deck it's Gideon Jura... creature removal, survives day of judg and swings for 6, and can resolve creature stalemates easily simply by ordering opponent to attack him :P

i considered removing wall of omens for nighthawk even, since he's both offensive and defensive, but the walls... that card it draws, and the low mana cost.. yum yum -.-

basically... i totally agree with your sugestion of the nighthawks, and indeed the comrade doesn't fit so much :P i want squeeze then 4 nighthawks, and would love to put 3 gideons... in 2 spots so far... *scratches head* :P help please? :P

edit: spelling errors

-4 Withstand Death
-2 Sorin Markov
-1 Day Of Judgement (move 1 to sideboard if you find fast aggro to be in your Meta)

+4 Vampire Nighthawk
+3 Gideon Jura

You can run without the Withstand Death. It gives your guys indestrucability, but you have recursion with Vengevine anyways, which means you'd only be using it with Lotus Cobra? Birds of Paradise? I guess on your BSA but really i think its a wasted card. Add in more threats, its what Rock does best.

If you get a chance i have a Legacy Rock deck posted under my deck list. Check it out, its a pretty solid deck.

I believe that's a good idea, i removed the Withstand Death, since anyway, Gideon Jura stays after a board swipe... although i kept the 4 Day of Judgment, and took out 1 Doom Blade, since Gideon Jura also provides me some targeted removal, and the Vampire Nighthawk it-s a very good blocker, and a very good attacker, so he can provide me control or agressiveness, depending on the situation, gonna try to roll the deck like this a bit and check how it goes.

About your deck, i commented on it already, hehe, i commented on it after i saw your previous comment, i went check what you had and left my 2 cents there :P ah, and indeed the Withstand Death was for mainly for my Baneslayer Angel :P
