Finished Product, hopefully... just added 2 more Scepters , it may have upped the price but for those go getters (non-builders) who are looking to buy "built" decks, take out 2 Scepters and add in 2 Peek (which comes to 4 Peek...) and deck value of 62$ which is what i paid for it and i have yet to see any REAL-TIME flaws.

Thank you to everyone for the assistance on the progress of this deck! i thank each and every one of you, and sorry to those who i have not yet repaid the favor to, im still getting there... lots of people im helping atm :P. thank you again! happy dueling

on another note - - i am NOT going for anything Time Spiral + in this deck, trying to stick to to the old school, but you guys keep suggesting them, so idk what to say >:P

other than all that, this is my Wizard Counter / Control deck, enjoy and comment!

I dont know what you meen by better mana feed. I mean you could always play high tide or power tap.... both are stickable and can help you produce massive amounts of mana.

Okay, after having faced a wizard deck for over a year I'd drop this...
Cephalid Constable, Equilibrium, Temporal Adept or Tolarion Entrancer... Too much bounce in my opinion. I can see how it works in, but Patron Wizard alone gets the job done. Between Snakeform and Ovinize, you've got enough creature managing for Biggies. I'd add in for sure...
Stonybrook Banneret
Ink Dissolver
Vedalken Aethermage
Teferi (just one should do)

These guys all mold into using Supreme and Patron, over time. Voidmage Prodigy, i saw a deck based on him lose for one simple reason, ran out of sacrifices and then got trampled over. He's very risky as an investment, and Patron does the job. Ertai, seems too expensive over all, and his ability takes a turn to use... simply put...
Patron, Ertai, or Voidmage, you only need one to make this deck work. Options are nice, but remember. Supreme Inquisitor can only be secure with one of these guys. I only recommend Psychic Trance against Storm decks, if you don't face any storm decks drop it for draw (I'd put in Ponder or Spy Network) Basically, you need more draw after you fix up your wizards. Just simple stuff is necessary, Forsee and Mystic Speculation are good tools as well.

I know you've got your own style, but I have vast experience with Wizards compared to others. Heed my advice to some degree. What I say has either worked as stated or failed as mentioned.

As for lands...Desert is pretty sweet, and so is Faerie Conclave. Look into more standard wizards. these guys can be game breaking at times. Blue has little to offer in mana sources. Just accept what is dealt i guess.

Last pieces of ideas... these are things I always wanted to try... "Azami, Lady of Scrolls", Jace Beleren, and Sower of Temptation.

ok thx Warrior for the feedback, i took out Ertai and 2 Voidmage for Force Spike.

I know what you mean with the newer cards etc... but i just plainly and honestly dislike the newer looks of the cards, that is my reason for not using them even though there are some great new cards out there, but i just dont like the card and art design.

but i guess im still rubbishing through cards. thx fer teh advice

I might consider dropping the force spikes for rune snags. Sure its not a one drop but I find rune snags to be very effective.

I wish you could find a way to put tokens into play, then you could put in Intruder Alarm tap 5 untaped wizards remover 5 cards, put in a token untap all creatures then tap 5 more Wizards remove 5 cards, put in a token untap all creatures. You get the point it would be game over from there.

I would get one more equilibrium in here with this build to make sure you always get it, and get it early.

The artifact that makes all blue spells cost one less would fit well.

With all the low strength/toughness of the wizards door of destinies is a good card to consider, both for offense and for saving their lives. This deck did well against my decks that were fat creature drop builds but had a hard time with ones like gat attack goblins that easily kill lower power creatures. Also, would consider something to give shroud to your tolarians since they are so effective. Liked using those, will have to get a few. And everything is permanent so you can go for their lands. It would almost be worth dropping 4 cards to get a quad of boomerang and you could return lands every turn pretty consistently.

Also some big draw card would be nice for longer games like flow of ideas or future sight.
Always happy to give advice, just ask on any of my decks and ill try to get back soon. -Will be inactive for a while-

ok, although i didn't change the draw much, some slight changes have and will be continued with my ultimate elimination process! my biggest problem is finding things here and there to take OUT to put other things in while keeping this 60 cards.... thanks for the suggestions, and thanks again Shad for taking the time to test it

Arcane lab is always nice to slow the tempo. Drop out Ertai and you have a nasty lock. Start bouncing their stuff, and then next turn use the sceptar to counter their spell.

i went for that combo in the beginnings of this deck, Ertai was just a waste of time considering my large amount of those types of cards already in here. what i have is almost more than enough, adding in Ertai wouldn't do much =\. thanks for the suggestion tho, was looking into it. but not fitting it in.

hi first of thanx for commenting in my deck. now yours. i think there is still to much bouncing and countering in it for example force spike is a bit unnessecery. also i dont see any draw cards and this is ofcourse very easy in a blue deck, i recommend riptide director its a bit high in mana cost but since your playing a lot of wizards it wil work nicely. also in a mono blue deck i like to play more artifacts with tolarian academy. for the rest a very nice deck it will defenetly irritate your opponents. could you check out my norin deck i dont really think it needs a lot of changes but if you know any its appreciated.

hey thanks a bunchez fer teh suggestions.. you were prlly right in the end more draw would / is more suited in the deck. i just couldn't figure out how to compile them into the deck since i was alrdy pretty content with what i had.. and i yar i understand i had too much bounce, Force Spike is a good card, but just a little much i spose. Riptide i totally forgot about that card tanx fer reminding me emoticon. i was going to toss some more Artifact lovin into the deck, but i decided not to cause i didn't want to get too side-tracked with what i was alrdy runnning. thanks again! much help... ill take a gander when i got teh chance

voidmage prodigy would definelty be a great idea i'd prolyl go up to 3 willbenders add in a couple of brine elementals and a 2-3 vesuvan shapeshifters would be a xtra add to the the the pickles lock could definetly be interesting here and vesuvan combo's great with alot of stuff with this deck even with the prodigys and and willbenders if u add the prodigys that is

i had Prodigy in before, but turned out to be TOO much bounce, and yeah i was thinkin about more Willbenders, but not sure if it is actually necessary. and if i added Vesuvan Shapeshifter, it's just like adding more bounce anyways. thanks for the suggestions, but they just dont fit right and are not necessary

you're right, that's not a bad idea, BUT Tolarian is there for an alternative, if i veer off track of my main counter focus then ill have a cluster fuck of too many win conditions. thanks for the suggestion.. it just has no room emoticon
