My dear sir i'm sad to report that birds are one of the slowest creature types out there, I mean the aren'y mad expensive mana-wise but they are cheap either. The best you could do would be to use Soulcatcher
's Aerie, Suntail Hawk
, and Courier Hawk as the basis. Use their cheapness to your advantage. Then add in Story Circle
in to help fight off powerhouse creatures. As for that mana curve problem, I'd suggest Tithe
and weathered wayfarer
(it's the ability that matters with it not the creature type).
Now, I'd take out prismatic strands, harsh mercy, chastise, and both gustcloaks. Substitute Gustcloak Savior for those two so that the ability is shard by all creatures, although total vigilance
should be your eventual goal. For this we add in Serra's Blessing, all your creatures gain vigilance
and you now have an upper hand! So try that all out and see how it works. But just so you know, I have a bird/soldier
deck once and it ended up as pure soldier
due to a problem with speed and mana costs. So, my honest-to-God advice for you is to just drop the birds and start over with pure soldier
. But I do love your deck, it reminds me of my original bird/soldier
deck... ahhh the memories.
