the main theme for the deck that inspired me to build it is phyrexian obliterator/gideon jura. the birthing pod simply allows me to get it out easier. as BBBB and 3WW are two difficult amounts of mana to have at your disposal at any given time, got some mana ramp with birds and llanowar, then the rest is history.
